Before entering law school, Lamar attended the University of Mississippi where he earned a Master’s in Criminal Justice. During that time, he interned for a criminal defense firm in Dublin, Ireland, and worked as a Graduate Assistant for the university. He was also a member of Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society.

Lamar received his J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law in 2020 where he was also a member of Law Review. While in law school Lamar worked for Holcomb Dunbar as a summer associate prior to joining the firm as an associate attorney in June 2021. In his spare time, Lamar enjoys volunteering for the Oxford-Lafayette County Habitat for Humanity as well as hunting, fishing, cooking and reading.
