Swayze was admitted to practice in Mississippi in 1990, after receiving his J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law. While in law school, he was a member of the Mississippi Law Journal from 1988 to 1990 and was also a member of Phi Delta Phi. He received his Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Mississippi in 1984.
Swayze's primary area of practice is in family and criminal law, insurance defense and general civil litigation. He is admitted to practice in Mississippi, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
